The entire process
can take between 3 and 5 weeks depending upon the availability of the
local phone company and the line test results. The residential speeds
are rate adaptive and will vary based upon phone line condition and actual
distance from the central office box. If you are not within the specified
distance for residential DSL, 15,000 feet, you may still apply for business
class DSL. This extended reach service can be three to four times faster
than your typical dial-up connection AND includes more benefits. You will
have an always-on connection, multiple STATIC IP addresses, easy networking
scalability, and all without having to dial up for Internet service again!
